#17 – Make Homemade Pasta

Tracy and I bought a small pasta machine from Pier One Imports and found a simple recipe for homemade pasta. Before completing this item I thought that making homemade pasta was complicated. Overall, the process was pretty simple and was fun to do together (especially since your arms get tired kneading the dough)

Our recipe – homemade smoked paprika pasta

• Step one – Mix 2 cup flour 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1/4 tsp salt in a bowl
• Step two – then add 1/2 cup water and 2 tbsp olive oil
• Step three – knead for 15 minutes by hand
• Step four – let rest of 15 minutes
• Step five – run dough through pasta machine
• Step six – boil pasta for 4 – 6 minutes
