One of my 30 before 30 list items is to be more spontaneous. I’m the type of person that thrives on schedules and plans. Rolling with the punches is something that I’m getting better at but being spontaneous is something that I need to incorporate more into my life. And when you have the random opportunity to see road side dinosaurs…….how can you pass that up?

While driving back up to the Bay Area during our Palm Springs road trip, Julie and I made a detour to the Robotic Dinosaur Museum. We had seen a couple of billboards advertising the museum and knew that we wanted to hit it up. We had heard that the museum was actually run by a bunch of fundamentalist Christians who wanted to push the creationist point of view on museum goers. Sure enough, the rumors were true and there was a bunch of “information” that “proved” that the dinosaurs were created by God (their motto is “by design, not by chance”). This didn’t really bother me though, Julie and I didn’t read too much of their signs and just enjoyed check out the dinosaurs. Overall, it was a neat place to take a short break from our road trip.
