Living in California means that I rarely get to enjoy the snow. While on vacation to Whidbey Island, I was super stoked that we got a couple of days of snow! Not everyone was as stoked as I was; my mom freaked out over the road conditions and apparently some locals have no clue how to drive in the snow (there was an eight car pile up near our rental home and it included two cop cars).

There was also the tragic trip from Oak Harbor to Coupville in Gina’s truck when BOTH of her chains broke within 5 minutes of each other. Despite this, I tried to make the most of the time I had in the snow. I took several walks around our rental’s neighborhood and even made a pretty solid snow angel.
